What is with the air quality in Bkk the last week??

I do not recall paying attention, is it like this every year at this time? It looks terrible out there, and everyone seems to have a sore throat - I dont think its "fog"

Anyone have some facts?

yes, it's fog - but fog in a polluted city is different from this on the mountain top or in the countryside.

fog in the city mixed with pollutants creates an accidy soup which irritates throat, nose and eyes.

get away from the busy centre into parks or suburbs

The answer is bad, as it was the previous week, and will be next week. It's just plain bad. BAD

But to be serious, didn't you get the pollution warning reported in BK Post? Very important to be vigilant, particularly if you have URT probs.?

Is it possible to sleep in Bangkok without an air-con?

Can air-con make the air worse? People keep saying "turn your air-con to 25 degrees".

Why not "live without an air-con except during summer to help the environment"?

Air quality in Bkk is quite ok. No need for AC this time a year at all, never during nights.
