Hi everyone. :D

I am 50 and want to retire to Thailand on a retirement Visa.

I have read that I need a letter from the police in the UK declaring that I have no criminal record.

Unfortunately I was in a pub fight 10 years ago and thumped a bloke and was arrested and charged with ABH.

This is the only offence I have and it is now spent, but would this stop me getting a retirement visa?

Other than the above I am a really nice bloke! Honest!

You only need a Police Clearance Certificate if you apply for a Non-Immigrant O-A visa or if you want to be a teacher. For an O visa for retirement purposes no police clearance or medical certificate is required of applicants. Easy eh ?

No criminal report needed if you extend an O visa based on retirement in Thailand.

Get a single or double entry O visa (not O A) in the UK based on "exploring retirement."

Then start getting your one year extensions in Thailand.

Your status will be exactly the same as with an O A, and no need to file a police record report.

As said, Get a Non Imm O Visa from Hull , Birmingham or Liverpool (not London)

Extend it in Thailand with 800,000 Baht in a Thai bank.

Have a nice retirement . Hopefully not in my village. :D:D
