Need to take my wife and her Mother up to a village outside of Phon Phisai (outside of Nong Khai) to visit family for a couple of days, and as much as I enjoy staying in a Village, Sleeping on the floor, and fighting off bugs all night, I would rather drive the 10 or 15 kilos back to Phon Phisai for a hopefully decent hotel... Can anyone up that way suggest or recommend anything in that small town???

I am not cheap and not worried about the costs, just would rather not take the time nor effort to drive all the way back to Nong Khai unless I have to...

Last Year I stayed for a few days in Phon Phisai and the taxi driver took me to 3 places the first 2 I rejected out of sight they were filthy the last (and I wish I could remember the name) was very basic (about 400Bt)but clean...I would be more inclined to stay at Nong Khai

Not what I wanted to hear, but not really surprised... It is just for a night or two, but I am still hoping to find something closer than having to drive back and forth from Nong Khai...

theres a guest house , come hotel just outside the town 2km back towards nong khai clean good rooms , i,ve known few people to stop there for the life of me i cant remember what its called , i,ll go out latter to look if you want to P.S me latter then i,ll know for you , this time of year NO need to book theres few other on same road , that look o.k ...... i,ve live phon phisai for about 9 months now ...
