The three terms below relate to the taxes applicable when buying selling land.

1. Transfer Fee. - ค่าธรรมเนียมการจดทะเบียนสิทธิและนิติกรรม or in short ค่าธรรมเนียมโอน

2. Stamp Duty. - อากรแสตมป์ or in spoken language ค่าอากร

3. Withholding Tax. - ภาษีหัก ณ ที่จ่าย or in spoken languae ภาษีซื้อขายที่ดิน

Thanks in advance.

khun yoot is great with these more serious topics. :o (mine are more ไร้สาระ :D)

just to add, sometimes you'll hear people using just the term ค่าโอน. I suppose they're referring to all these fees collectively.

Great translation Khun Yoot,

Not picking holes, just a clarification...

It is perhaps worth pointing out though that Witholding tax ภาษีหัก ณ ที่จ่าย applies to many contracts too. In particular when a 'service' is provided it is the responsibility of the 'employer' to deduct a sum of witholding tax from the payment due to the 'employee' and to issue a certificate in confirmation of the deduction. This applies to both individuals and to other juristic entities (companies). Generally this is calculated at the rate of 3% unless (I believe) it is a transport contract which requires the deduction of 5%
