September 11, 200421 yr Bangkok Airway plane encounters technical problem KRABI: -- A domestic flight of Bangkok Airway encountered a technical problem today when it was landing on the runway in the Krabi Airport in Thailand's southern region, but all passengers and crews on board were safe. The technical problem had caused the flight to have blocked the runway for hours, forcing other flights, both inbound and outbound, to have to use the nearby Phuket Airport temporarily, according to local journalists. The Boeing 717 aircraft, carrying 37 passengers on board from Bangkok's Don Muang International Airport, had just landed and ran along the runway when its front wheel suddenly failed to move, said the journalists. However, all the passengers and crews were safe. Technicians later succesfully fixed the problem, and the situation has returned to normal, as the airport has been reopened, according to the journalists. -- TNA 2004-09-11
