Wat Po Massage Courses

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

I have just became a member of this forum :o

I am visiting Bangkok from Scotland in 2 weeks and will be doing an initial general Massage Course at Wat Po.

Can anyone tell me if theyhave been to Wat po and what their views and opinions are as i hope to do further courses in my next trips.

Most concerned about how well the course is run, the language issues as i do not speak Thai and worry should i not be able to understand instructions and also the quality of the course materials provided.

Many thanks

Jenny

I haven't actually done the course there but have heard that it is excellent. Courses are in English and they offer a variety of options. Not sure if you've seen the watpho.com website as that tells you all the prices and course details.

if you are learning for a diploma than go to wat pho - groups are large, 10+, mixed thai-english. Many thai don't know english, so the teacher has to teach in 2 languages.

if you want to learn thai massage properly than find a good teacher, with a good english and experience, and learn individually. Many massage clinics do teach massage - just walk in and ask.
