We recently bought a company from someone we came to thailand to take up a job offer with. Unfortunately things haven't worked out. We now want to sell it. When we bought it they told us they would buy it back from us when we left. Unfortunately that is also not going to happen.

We bought it for 47,500, plus some fees for changing names. What I"d like to know is, is it legal for us to advertise it online or in newspapers or is it again one of those things that goes on but is not actually legal.

Any advice, help would be great, as we've lost an awful lot of money already and anything we can get back would help.

Thanks for your time!

like to know as well.

situation:

company "runs" bar.

i.e. licenses for selling alcohol etc in company name.

(but premises lease in my own name).

if i sell the bar

i would like to offer the company for sale as well,

is this just a matter of all the paperwork for change of directors?

"sale" of company being a private exchange of moneys?

sound like you got sold a bill of goods. just wondering on one point, did they give you in writing that they would buy back company? and even if they did, did you actually think they would.
