September 17, 200421 yr Will try to keep the boring details as brief as possible: Background: I am a farang (Australian) male who has lived in Thailand for just over three years, most of that time on a marriage visa. About a year ago, busted up with the missus and when my visa ran out I transferred it to a non-immigrant b class visa pending employment here with a friend. Friend was a little slow in getting paperwork in order so went and got a 20 day extension. Prospects with friend now look non-existnant, no blame or disputes there just hasn't worked out. Am leaving (I work all over Asia) for Vietnam and Singapore on Sunday, my current non-immigrant, type B visa runs out on Monday. My girlfriend and all my humble wordly possessions are here in Thailand and I wish to return on the 23rd of September. 1st Question: Will it be a hassle for me to get a 30 tourist visa upon arriving back at Don Muang? 2nd Question: Will I then just be able to do 'runs' in and out of thailand each month until I can sort something else out? (I usually travel to another country every month for work anyway.) Hope someone can give me some sound advice, it would be much appreciated. kindest regards.

September 18, 200421 yr Author Thanks for the advice, hope it all goes smoothly. Very stressful this situation. Dr. Pat Pong, reasonable advice but, still have to get my divorce through, which is going through Australian courts and takes some time. On the other hand, not sure this is a girl I wish to marry, more than the stereotypical Thai hellcat, I have endured much in the way of threats and even violence. Have now come to see that this girl's whole family seems to be shit frightened of hear anger and now it has started to spill over to threats against some of my friends. Its a long and sorry saga that I won't bore you with here. I simply wish to remain in Thailand on the one hand. The drama with my Thai girlfriend is a whole other sad and sorry can of worms and getting out of it is neither simple or straight forward.

September 18, 200421 yr Isn't there some kind of working visa that gives you nine months grace before you need to show you are earning and paying taxes? Still trying to get my head around all these different visa types.
