How I Can Stay In Thailand For 6 Months Long?

Featured Replies

My friend would like to stay in Thailand for 6 months on her own reason, i suggest her to get Tourist Visa from Thai embassy which will allow her to stay 60 days? What else after that? If she come in with Tourist Visa first and do visa run one-time after that go to Thai embassy?

Please help!

Provided she hold a Western European passport and lives in a country where the consulate will issue, she should apply for a double entry tourist visa which with extensions will give her 6 months.

60 days on entry, extend for 30 days in country, exit and re-enter Thailand at the nearest border, get the second 60 days, extend for another 30 days in country.

If not, then accept a single entry good for 60 days + 30 days extension and make three border runs (preferably to Ban Laem, Cambodia). No need to go to an embassy in a neighboring country.

But aware this method might not be six months, but a little less (180 days to be exact).
