Help Me With My Visa, Im New And Confused.

Featured Replies

Ok I tried reading the articles but I cannot figure which visa run is better for me.

Im canadian. I live in bangkok. I arrived here october 12th 2007. I had a 2 months tourism visa.

I found a job within those 2 months. They gave me a non Immigrant B visa. (went to laos)

I quit my job. Now I have 7 days to get a new tourism visa. I plan on staying in thailand for 3-6 more months. Whats my plan? Where do I go? Cambodia?

I dont have a plane ticket back.

I know Im stupid as fuc_k but whatever any advice or link is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is there a cheaper way? Visa for laos is like 1800 bath for canadians

Moved to the Thai visas and residency sub-forum.

Scouse.

Does your current permitted to stay end in 7 days? Or are you accepting someone telling you 7 days? Your visa entry does not end with end of employment - only an extension of stay from immigrant ends with loss of employment. So if you have a few week remaining you can use them before you leave. As you need about six months the Vientiane trip would be worthwhile as you could obtain two entry tourist visa to cover that time.

I heard someone tell me that if I quit my job, my employer is gonna screw me and make I dont know who cancel my visa and that I must leave the country within seven days if he does do that. And that noone is gonan tell me and when I leave im gonna be stopped at the border and have to pay 500 bath per day.

Your visa entry does not end on end of employment - only if you were here on a one year extension of stay would it end. He can not do any such thing.
