How Much Is Thai Visa Forum Worth?

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering how much Thai Visa Forum would be worth as a business?

I am not expecting the correct answer just some educated estimates.

BTW, I am not looking to buy it :o

The current value of the Thai Visa forum is in the stats page, just after the bit which says 'the most users ever online was...'

I think it is currently 137 baht 43 satang. George will be able to confirm this.

The inherent problem with forums like this one is that they are long on people with questions, and short on people with answers. If you exclude the responses from people who post to say "I don't know" "It might be...", or similar expressions, they are very short on answers.

Value ? I'm not sure, but I think with this website and 25 baht you could buy a coffee at McDonald's.

There is a website where you can find out - Thai Visa was said to be worth $1,000,000 I believe.

Where did you get that information?

Guess at the collective net worth of the forum members? :o

It is refreshing to think that the owners of TV are doing this as act of love and not as a means to become mega-rich.

Fair play.

something like Dcscoop.com - that was a while ago though, it's worth more than double that now I'd imagine.

it's worth as much anybody is willing to pay for it; I wouldn't under estimate it; this website has a huge amount of internet value; high PR; tons of visitors etc ... it's worth a whole lot of money !

if they would put it for sale for a couple of million Baht, I'm sure they'll find a buyer for it!

high PR

Not really - the forum home page has a PR of 4 and the home page of the whole site has PR 5. That's not bad, but could hardly be construed as "High PR".

It is all in the advertising. They have google ads and banner ads. You would have to figure out how much they are making in revenue in order to figure out how much they are worth. Then there are the side ventures, such as Thai Visa Travel and such. Would they be included?

these days PR5 is already good, sure 6 is higher, but most importantly; the PR is well spread, they don't know much about SEO etc, they could easily get much more PR, if they would organize their internal link structure better, same for the ads, they make good money from it without any doubt, but it could be even more, much more ... but check the visitors; stats; at all times they have thousands of visitors ... this site is worth a whole lot of millions, no doubt about it ...

whole lot of millions of what?

Old saw of course, is that it's worth as much as someone will pay for it. Not very witty, I know. How about "it's worth (or not worth) the paper it's printed on!

I donot care about a market value, to ME it is worth a lot, all kinds of things i want to, or even need to know are here, and i donot even have to ask..others already did.... :o

Well that reduces the value for some maybe but even then you'd be hard pressed to say it has "no value". Just the Google ads alone must bring in a fair amount of income.
