Hi everyone :o

I'm a New Zealander (20 years old) who's looking to make a trip to Thailand for a while (6+ months) where I will live with friends. I would pay for everything with money that I earn off the internet that goes into my bank account here every month. I've read everything on getting a Visa and I'm still completely baffled as to what I should do. I've tried ringing the New Zealand Thai Consulate and they said all they can help me with is getting a 60 day tourist Visa, which isn't close to enough for as long as I would like to stay for. So, I'm asking for advice on what I should do. Should I get the 60 day Visa and get it extended while I'm there? I haven't got the first idea of what my plan should be.

Any help would be very welcome :D

hi

i to only got a 60 day tourist visa from thai embassy in belgium and i plan to stay for much longer to.

my plan is to stay for the 60 days and then extend that with a 30 days stamp given to you in any immigration office in thailand.

after that i will go to laos vientiane to get a new tourist visa,

iff you read some on this forum you will find out that most off us long term tourist can uptain a 2 entry tourist visa from there.

so then you have 2 time 60 days witch you can extend with 2 times 30 days extention stamp.

hope this is some help to you have a great time

grtz dennis

Go initially with the 60 day tourist visa followed by an extension, and take it from there.

I doubt you will qualify for anything else.

Naka.
