Dear Forum,

I have a one year retirement visa renewed last August. I am considering a trip outside Thailand for a month. How does this affect my visa?

On return what must I do? Is the preiod of my visa affected?

Hope you are keeping well,

All the Best

When you say renewed do you mean you visited Immigration inside Thailand and paid 1,900 baht for a one year extension of stay (marked for "retirement")? If that is what you did you must obtain a re-entry permit prior to leaving Thailand (from Immigration - cost 1,000 baht). That will be used as your visa when you return and you will be stamped into Thailand for the date you currently have in your passport.

If you are talking about a visa you obtained from a Consulate outside of Thailand we need to know if it is marked "M" for multi entry or "S" for single entry. "M" would provide a new one year stay on entry - "S" would require the same re-entry permit in para one.
