90 Day Report

Featured Replies

Recent comments suggest that when a Non Immigrant holder is abroad ,at the time 90 day report is due, his/her 90 days resume counting the return date as day 1. This is the position as it has applied to me on the occasion of recent visits to the UK.

However , there are some points that are not clear. I have not ,hitherto , visited Immigration until the resulting 90 days is used. So far without a problem. Some recent comments suggest that a visit to immigration should be made upon return - within a day or two. ? ?

My second point is that hitherto I have acquired a Re- entry Permit at the cost of 1000 baht. Is this necessary ? Am I undertaking an unnecessary expense ?

Please post this on the Thai Visa Forum, not the Pattaya Forum.

Are you here on a visa entry (90 days) or an immigration obtained stamp (1 year)?

Apologies to lopburi 3 for tardiness of reply . . .computer and connection difficulties.

Have now been to Pattaya Immigration to make 90 day report and informed by two different officials (would not accept one opinion) that I do need a re-entry permit . There I suppose the matter rests . . .unless there is some doubt elsewhere ?

You did not answer the question but if you are required to make 90 day report you must be on an extension of stay - and an extension of stay ends upon departure from Thailand if you do not have a re-entry permit prior to travel.
