walking wallet
I would like to watch some YouTube videos , but due to my very slow internet dial up connection speed, I cannot. If I go to an Internet shop where they have ADSL, is there any way I can download a YouTube Video from the shop’s computer and May be transfer the video say onto a USB thumb drive or some other way , so I can take a copy of the video back home to play on my own computer some how..? Is it simple to do ..?

TomBrown
You could try; YouTube Grabber by David Zhang http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Down...e-Grabber.shtml YouTube Download & Convert 1.1.2 http://www.cubedlabs.com/youtube_downloadconvert.php Of course, you'd have to ask if Internet café if it were okay to install the software on their computer, or possibly you could install it on your USB thumb drive and run it from there. lomatopo
If you download YouTube videos directly they will be in FLV format so you'll need a player capable of playing the file; FLV Player is free, and gives full control. Other players (VLC) work but don't seem to offer full control, like indexing. Edited February 27, 2008 by lomatopo

Copy the URL of the video that you are watching [ example: ]3. Open another tab if you are using Firefox/IE7 or another browser for IE6. 4. Go to keepvid.com 5. Paste the URL into the space in Keepvid.com 6. Click the download link. 7. Name the file and give it an flv extension [ Video.flv ] 8. Save the file to your flash drive. 9. Download an FLV player and save it to your flash drive. 10. Take everything home! Edited February 27, 2008 by sensei
