From Surat Thani Pier To Surat Thani Airport?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'll be taking a ferry from Koh Samui to Surat Thani on Sunday.

I would like to know, when I arrive at the pier in Surat Thani, what's the best and safest way to get from the pier to Surat Thani Airport?

Approximately how much would it cost? And how long would it take?

Thanks alot!

Hi,

Some friends did this the other week and said it was easy. They asked around at travel agents and were quoted anything between 500 - 1500 baht a person.

Eventually they found out that the best way is to buy a combined Ferry/Bus ticket at the ferry port itself at the usual counter where you buy ferry tickets.

I think the ticket is in the region of 200-300 baht per person.

The bus takes about 1 1/2 hours to get to the airport.

Will be doing this journey myself at the end of March so would be interested to hear if your trip goes as smooth as my friends' did.

OP is going from the airport to the ferry so will need to take the Phanthip bus (connects to the Raja Ferry) or the Seatrans bus which connects to the Raja Ferry. Not sure of the cost but it is the cheapest easiest way.

Phantip bus company from Nathon to Surath Airport = 350 THB (100 km)

Goes with Seatran Ferry, not Raja.

FYI:

Phantip from Nathon to Phuket Town = 380 THB.. (300 km)
