I have read and enjoyed all of Denis's books on "Thai ways" and got to wondering if he is still alive, he was born in 1915 so he would be quite old today.

Very definitely YES! He had a piece in last Sunday's BKK Post and if the picture is anything to go by, he's looking pretty spry. (Tried to track it down in the Post's archives but no luck.)

I met him many years ago when he was working for the now defunct BKK World. Fine gentelman.

Thanks much dekestone, that is great to hear, by his activity shown in his writings he is indeed a spry individual. I wish him all the best, wish he would write another book but from what he said in his last book that it was his last. If you track down the BKK Post article please pass it on.
