Frang Bookshop In Ranong?

Featured Replies

I left my house yesterday to start my 2 month Thailand tour and the only thing I forgot to pack was my copy of Lonely Planet Thailand.

I get to Ranong tomorrow, does anyone know of a farang bookshop that might have a copy?

Thanks in advance.

You mean like a bookshop that carries foreign language books?

mac.wheeler ??? where do I know the name Wheeler from ? Oh I remember, they Wheelers own Lonely Planet - maybe this is an advert for the Lonely Planety guide books??

But having googled mac.wheeler, it appears I am too cynical!!

Why would you be going to Ranong as a first stop in Thailand? And no, I doubt there is an English language bookshop in Ranong :o

Ranong isn't my first stop in Thailand, it is my third stop on this trip though, I should have pointed out that I live on Koh Phangan to start with, I'm just off on a little holiday. It's dreaded visa run time so Ranong was a logical step in the journey.

No luck with a farang bookshop here though, ahh well, I'll be in Hau Hin in a couple of days maybe there is one there.

You can Google LP stuff too

If your on KPG then haad rin has a couple of book stores that are bound to have one.. Much higher chance than Ranong.

Already left KPG, didn't realise I had left the book at home until we got to Surat Thani, I just found a bookshop in Hau Hin that has a copy though, so I'll grab it when we pass through in a couple of days. Funny how missing something as simple as a guide book can make life more complicated, I've been using it to plan our trip around Thailand, not so much for accomodation and food but for information on what happens where.
