Mumba5
Hi guys, i'm looking to stay in a good reputable serviced apartment in Bangkok for 1 month during July. My mate and i gonna book 2 rooms. Any recommendations? Budget of around 11,000 baht. Much thanks! =)
OM3N
Serviced in what fashion? 11,000 really won't get you that much unless you are outside the city a bit.
Mumba5
I forgot to mention 11,000 baht for each person
kiakaha
11K for a month...you would barely get a Khao San Rd shanty hut with no aircon for that. Cheapest fully serviced apartments(maid, furnishings, kitchen etc...) I have seen in central BKK are around 20K per month
RueFang
If you can live without the maid, you've got loads of options but for serviced you'll be mighty lucky to find one that cheap.

chiang mai
Somerset Suan Park View in Chidlom does a nice one bedroom serviced apartment for around 3,000 baht, assuming we're both talking daily rates?
gunnyd
I forgot to mention 11,000 baht for each person Yes but you said you and your mate will be booking separate rooms. Unless you are talking about a real "close" mate you are not going to find a serviced apartment for that price. The place I always stay House By The Pond And they charge 19,500 for a studio plus utilities. Of course it is a decent place to stay. If you are looking to pay less don't expect much. You're talking about spending 340THB ($11USD) a night. Don't expect to find more than a non air con flea bag hotel at that price. GunnyD

Mumba5
I have a thai friend who pays 12,500thb per month in an apt near Huaykwang. Some of them pay less than 10k per month as well. I've found many apartments offering 6-15k baht.. Here's a list: V.P Tower (13k per month + 13k deposit) http://www.en.9apartment.com/detail-en/?Ap...=0510213483411# 21/45 Soi Chawakul , Rangnam Road Phayathai Rajtevi Bangkok 10400 Tel (662) 2468800 SATHORN VIEW http://sathornsaintview.com/SSV.htm RAFFLES COURT http://en.9apartment.com/detail-en/?Apartm...71052124137757# GREENERY (8k/mth for orange room + 8k deposit) http://www.greeneryhouse.com/index.html 260 Soi Ladprao 62(64), Ladprao Rd, Bangkok 10310, Thailand. Nysan
Note that many of there places charge you extra for water and electricity. As a example VP tower charge you 1500/month extra if you want to have internet. The Greenery is nice but far away from "everything".
donna
if its SERVICED apartments that the OP is after, then i doubt whether the budget will allow for it. i have stayed in house by the pond, too, and found it to be good.
