Conversion of Visa

Hi,

I was just wondering if it is possible to convert a tourist visa to Non B visa without going back to my home country. I have all the papers from my employer.

Please help if any one can give me more information about it.

The normal procedure is to take the required papers and receipt for work permit to a Consulate in the local area for issue of a non immigrant B visa.
