Hotel Convenient For Suwarnapoom

We're going on holiday from the new airport. I've never left from there and don't actually know where it is exactly. Where's a good hotel to stay in that's midway between central Bangkok and Suwarnapoom?

None spring to mind. There's the Novotel actually at the airport, but why do you need a place halfway between Bangkok and the airport. You might as well either stay in town or stay at the airport's Novotel. I can't see much advantage of staying half way between.

Somewhat cheaper than Novotel is Grand Inn Come Hotel, Bangna, about 10 mins from Suvannarbhumi Airport--has free collect and drop off to airport--nothing like as upmarket as Novotel but quite good nevertheless--great buffet breakfast if you're not checking out too early--book online [Agoda.com] for best price.

Try the Suvannarbhumi thread further down - there are a number of hotels listed which are close to the airport. Includes some unbiased reviews.
