Ubon Bar Ladies, Karaoke Ladies & Normal Ladies

One thing first, I recently popped into the Montana Hotel Karaoke bar on a saturday night. I was the only farang customer. There were about ten scantily clad pretty karaoke girls hanging around and about three small groups of Thai men. I was completely ignored. Why was this? It just seemed strange. I was sober, well groomed, well presented and polite. I am in my thirties. Not even one girl came over to say hello. But they went over and sat with the Thai men when they came in. So where does one go to meet ladies of the night in Ubon? Is there anywhere to go that is not full of Thai drunk teenagers that you can recommend - whether it be for fun, or with a view to forming something more serious? Thanks.

Honestly, if you try and put yourself in their 6 inch shoes it isn't a mystery.

Old wive's tales tell us that foreigners enjoy biting children and quite often

drag Thai women to their home country only to sell them. I mean, we're

usually babbling unintelligibly in some strange tongue, for chrissakes man,

we're just no-good, deceiving tricksters with few redeeming qualities.

Bring your Thai phrasebook and practice your skills over a lady drink. :o

Well more then likely in this aspect of life Ubon and Udon are probably pretty similar, at least until farrang alley opened here. More then likely the Thai guys were regular customers. In Udon if you wanted to make contact several years ago it was you who had to make the move. Nothing like Pattaya. Try a smile and a lady drink and see what happens.

Your not goign to be hearing hansom man where your from much in Issan. You want to sit there quietly and enjoy a drink they will let yopu do just that. If you can't speak Thai you might just have to find yourself a transltor for awhile. Where there is a will there is way but you will have to proactive. You being 30 won't help you much here. Bar scene here starts with money not what a jock you are.
