Vientiane-chiang Mai Via Udon Thani

Featured Replies

Is it doable/possible to catch the plane from Udon Thani to Chiang Mai, which leaves at 15.40 pm, after picking up a Thai visa the same day at Vientiane ?

Edited by palander

Believe visa pick up is after 1400 in Vientiane. Suspect no way unless you have wings.

Depending on the money you would like to spend…

IF you are the first to get your passport back (meaning be the fist in the line so be at the embassy at 12:15) and leave the embassy at 13:05 take a (pre-arranged) taxi from the embassy to the airport (no idea what that would cost you) you could be in the airport around 14:30 IF it’s not to busy at the Lao boarder…

If you are traveling to Udon by bus, forget about it!!

I spoke with some people who took the flight to CM and one more than one occasion Nok Air delayed the flight a couple of hours so you might be lucky, would not recommend you though :o
