misterme Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Hello, Have opened a small guesthouse in Phuket. Business has slowed so it's time to set up a web presence. Seeking advice on website setup with the normal stuff; pics, links and online reservation request form. I'm assuming the prices in Thailand are better than overseas for design/set-up, but don't know where to look. appreciate any experience and advice. thanks
WilliamJarvis Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I've heard this guy is good - reasonable prices and in Thailand http://www.jasewebdesign.com/ As I live in Aus, and have never used his services, I cannot guarantee that
Khun Jean Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Things to consider: How people will find your website. Advertise to attract visitors. Otherwise it is just another website that nobody can find. And preferably don't use flash as this is not working in your favor search engine wise. I have seen a few of those, and although they look good they are only visited by people who already have the url. The rest is just pictures and words. Many designers can build a nice looking website. And the final but most important 'feature': When asked for information or prices, reservations etc. Reply as soon as possible, (withing 8 hours if possible). A good way to at least hold the interest is to automatically and immediatly send a confirmation e-mail.
