Train From Udon Thani To Bangkok

Featured Replies

I am currently looking at the website http://www.railway.co.th/English/Time_HTML.asp for a train that goes from Udon Thani to Bangkok, but i cant seem to see a time ,can anyone or does anyone know what time the train leaves Udon Thani to go to Bangkok.

I would love to travel on it,maybe first class.

Can someone smarter than me click on the link and figure it out.thankyou.

First of all you need to click on the correct route, Udon Thani is on the North Eastern route.

You then need to know that all but one of the trains is an overnighter, so you are not going to see very much.

Only one of the four services has first class, and that's one of the overnighters, oh and yes it's a really long journey, about 10 hours, though it is pretty cheap.

If that does't put you off the times from Undon are:

Depart Udon 18.40 arrive Bangkok 05.00

Depart Udon 19.20 arrive Bangkok 06.25 - This is the only train with first class

Depart Udon 20.10 arrive Bangkok 08.00

Depart Udon 06.10 arrive Bangkok 17.10

Enjoy your trip

Better to spring a few extra baht and take the one hour flight on Nok rather than a 10 hour night trip.

Or Air Asia.

But I like the train.
