Hi,

There has been a lot of posts regarding the Windows Vista SP1 and i would like to know how to check to see if i have it on my laptop. I understand from the posts that this should have downloaded via the automatic updates, but i cant see any info regarding this on my system. I have checked automatic updates and i am up to date.

Am i looking in the wrong place and if i dont have it how do i get it?

Cheers, Rick

to verify if you are running windows vista SP1, do a run and type in winver, enter a dialog box should show up, displaying the version and if you have SP1, it should read:

Version 6.0 (build 6001: service pack 1.

Or just right click on the Computer link in your start menu and then select Properties. It will tell you right near the top of the screen under the Windows edition options.
