Was planning to visit the golden triangle to take some photos, but reports in the local papers tell of haze. Is this over-reporting or is there a significant amount of haze around at the moment?

The haze is beginning to clear due to several violent storms locally.

If you're into sunrise/sunset photography you get some quite stunning photos this time of the year due to the smoke in the air.

My favorite time for photography in the North is during the rainy season, May- October. Everything is green then. Now it is too dry for nice photos, IMO.
