Hi Everyone:

I know this has been asked before, but I have not been to Thailand in 2years.

Ok, so I have a condo in Chiang Mai and I want to come hang out for 4-6 months. My father and I have a recruiting/consulting firm and I want to work but in Thailand. Can I get an Non Immigrant B Visa without having a company we work w in Thailand?

If not, and I just want to hang out and not work what is my best option?

- Getting a 60 2 entry Visa from the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles ( i live in San Jose CA); or should I just come get my 30 days and deal with it while I am there by going to KL or Australia? If I just use my passport I know I have to leave each 30 days but isn't true after 90 days I'd have to leave for 90?

All help is appreciated.

Best,

sok

The 30 day entry is not really an option as the airline might not allow you on the plane.

If you could get a 2 entry Tourist Visa that would give you 6 months stay with a couple of extensions.

As for business, I will leave others to comment on that.

You should be able to obtain a non immigrant B visa using your overseas company paperwork. But that will not allow you to work in Thailand. Believe to work would require a Thai company setup of some type to allow a work permit to be issued - not likely worthwhile for 4 months.
