In August my parents and my son( 11 years old) are coming to visit Thailand and only staying for 2 weeks so I have to try and cram as much in as I can.

I was thinking 3 days in Bangers so they can do the Floating market, The Bridge and and the Tiger temple at Cantanabury and the Emerald Buddha / royal palace etc.

I need either a hotel that has linked rooms or a 3 bed challet or equivalent in Bkk that we can book for just a few days Maybe a resort ?

From there we will be going up to Khonkaen for 4 days so we will stop in our house there but then I thought we would go to krabbi for a couple of days then on to Phuket before returning back to BKK for the last 2 days so my parents can do some shopping.

Any advice / recommendations on accomodations in BKK / krabbi and Phuket would be great ( although I know some places in Phuket.

Any web sites other than sawadee as they only seem to do 1 / 2 room hotels.

Cheers chaps.

I have stayed at the Somerset Park Suan Plu which are more like serviced apartments (though its no problem to stay for a few days). Last time I stayed in a two room apartment - they may have bigger. I know from previous experience that it is quite difficult to get accommodation (particularly via the web) for 3 people up.

They aren't the cheapest lodging - but I found that for two adults plus two kids they weren't any more expensive than booking two normal rooms in a hotel.

They had two bathrooms, TVs in each room plus lounge room/dining, and also had a kitchen.

I'm staying there again in a few weeks - 4500++ per night I think.

or just put somerset park suanplu in google. The website has floorplans.

The company also has a couple of other apartments around BKK. I found their website had the cheapest prices for the accommodation.

try Centre Point hotels in Bangkok, they are sort of serviced apartments, sure have 3 bedroom units, there are 4 or 5 of them in the city

moderately priced at 4* hotel level

Cheers i will have a look at those mentioned .

As for too wet , It cant be wetter than England as there has only been 1 break in the rain since easter 2007 where my parents are from.

May look at Koh samet or koh chang, its just that my mother want to see the islands and has had pi-pi island recommended by one of her friend but i know she would get bored after a couple of days. at least she can go and see the fantasy show in phuket and have a choice of restaruants to eat in :o

There are many good hotels in Krabi. I with the family (2 adults, 2 kids) usually we stay in Buri Tara Resort. We quite accept quality of service and the price.

Considered getting their beach fix in Pattaya ?

And a bit of culture (?) in Chaing Mai / Rai, maybe NongKhai cross into Laos or just look over the river. I was thinking about the amount of time spent travelling BKK-KK-Krabi-BKK ? Just a thought.
