I arrived in Thailand end February with no visa but because I am married received a 60 day extension under section 7.23 police order 606/2006.

When I applied for this extension the immigration officer asked me what I would do when this 60 days where up, I replied that I would leave Thailand before the end of the 60 days.

At that point I started to sign the papers for the visa extension and the immigration officer continued speaking with my wife who later told me that the immigration officer said.. "If I want an extension to this 60 day visa I can get one upstairs"

My wife unfortunately did not ask any questions about this extension or what I must do to obtain it.

So if any one knows some thing about this extension it would be useful.

The additional extension after the 60-day extension would presumably be the one-year extension with evidence of minimum 40k monthly family income.
