One of the reasons my Thai friend s Tourist visa to Australia was knocked back is that they the Immigration Dept dont believe he had "adequate funds" for the trip even though I had agreed to sponser him.

They further stated "you have not provided us evidence of your Financial Details".

I am just wondering how the immigration Dept would view say a 30,000 baht deposit in a bank account as evidence or would they require those deposits over a period of time.

I can see many guys rushing out and depositing say 40,000 baht into their GF bank account and applying for a visa, however i wonder how immigration would view this?

Could it be successful as really there is the money in their account even if it was put in the same day.

If they see a large deposit prior to an application, the chances are they would be suspicious.

Your financial details are your pay details.....they are not concerned with the bank accounts...it is what you earn and whether you have a job that concerns them.
