Interesting Program

Not exactly Thailand related but could be in a sense.

There is a show on the BBC right now about how Americans are returning to Vietnam to try and locate offpsring of American veterans, with a new program being offered by the US, whereby these children could become eligible to become citizens of the US and move to America.

It is interesting listening to the interviews with the children (some of whom are in their 20's and 30's now), many of whom say they are treated badly and discriminated against in their home country, and can't wait for an opportunity to become US citizens.

I wonder is anyone knows of a similar program for Thai people with American veteran fathers. Also, is there a lot of discrimination for Thai-American children who are living without fathers and trying to make it through school, work, etc.??

The series was on Digital a few months ago.

Its very anti-american, esp the episode on Cambodia. Having said that, the director attempts to deliver a balanced argument, but the facts speak for themselves.

I found the interview on the link above a great accompaniment to the series
