Shipping things to uk

Hi

I have bought a wooden carved panel in one of the local markets and

want to ship it to the UK. It weighs 1.86 Kg and is 355 x 20 x 600 mm.

I wondered whether anybody had shipped similar things home and if so

wat was the cheapest option ad how much did it cost ?

From the size you give it looks like it could go UPS,Fed Ex, or DHL for around US$30-$50 heavily wrapped in bubble wrap. But as far as I know, if it is teak none of them are allowed to touch it. I only know about shipping teak by sea in which case the shipper takes care of the license. If its not teak, I still am not sure if wood carvings can be shipped by the air couriers so probably best to go and ask them. If they say no, see if they have ideas to get it home by air. There's always the post office, but its pretty unreliable and expensive.
