April 12, 200818 yr hello all. Please help me. I have just purchased a dvd recorder but not sure what discs to use dvd rw dvd r or an other. Please help me. Thank you very much.
April 12, 200818 yr I took mine into McDonalds and got one of the guys behind the counter to look @ the instructions, he then told me.
April 13, 200818 yr Use DVD R.W if you want to record Tv programs over and over again and DVD R for any movie you want to keep.
April 14, 200818 yr Yes, you have to check your instructions to determine whether you need to use + or - media.
April 14, 200818 yr Hey Slippery, Most new recorders can handle both DVD+RW and DVD+RW (but check). More importantly, I was driven nuts trying to use DVD R/W discs, my dvd player handles divx/avi files so I thought I would save money by using re-recordable media (RW discs) but every brand I bought only handled a few re-writes before it cra_pped out. Then I discovered SONY ACCUCORE disks, gold color discs with accucore written on them. These babies really are incredible, I have re-wrote over my first three discs atleast a 100 times, and now after a year two of them have cra_pped out, which beats the heck out of all the other brands I have ever used (TDK and other major manufacturers). They are easy to find and just a little more expensive, but really worth it. best wishes, Jim
