Thai Visa Get Together In Bangkok

I regularly notice topics inviting TV members to get togethers in Chiang Mai, Pattaya and recently even Isaan. My question is: Do we ever have TV get togethers in Bangkok? If not, why not? If so, when is the next one?

A few TV members are meeting up on the 26thApril at SOI 8 IN SOI 8 re a football night but all members welcome I am sure. The owner of Soi 8 is also a member of TV.

Very true, the football forum (Bangkok based) have been meeting up regularly for the past 6 months.

We've even had a couple of small get togethers in Singapore --- and I'm planning to go to one of the footie nights in BKK if I can ever get one to coincide with when I'm in town!

Just go ahead and invite a few people that you know / post with regularly --- they invite a few more contacts --- and you're off...

Sorry Mr T - shall be around for a short visit this weekend but then not until the May Day long weekend --- so guess I'll miss the 26 April evening. Boo!

I am sorry to hear this type of comment and can assure you that our TV members who attend our football nights are all very nice Guys and Gals.

We all support different teams but know how to behave and have a few beers and laughs together.

I hope you will TRY and join some really nice TV members sometime.

That is all you need to do. It's all pretty simple and informal. We will be on tables in front of the stage. Should be two joined up tables with a group around. I'll drop you a PM with my number, just in case you can't spot us.

whilst I never did get to meet you guys at Soi 8 (I think you all had a party to go to the night I went) I really appreciated the fact that you texted me and provided your mobile numbers to facilitate better communication. When I again get to Bangkok I will be sure to catch up with you at Soi 8.

My OP however was really more aimed at the type of function I have seen advertised on TV for Chiang Mai/ Pattaya and even Surin where the TV sponsors get involved and there is a requirement to sign in with your password to attend the function. Not that I am after a free piss up and feed, more that I would like to meet a wider cross section of TV membership than just the soccer fans (no offence intended). I guess I just assumed that the majority of TV membership in thailand would reside in Bangkok and was curious as to why no functions ever seem to be held in that fine city?
