Dog Hotel, Pattaya

Recommended Posts

In June we will be off to the USA for 5 to 6 weeks and we are considering leaving our dog at the Dog Hotel. I'm familiar with the place as we left our dog there twice before but only for a couple of days and that was over a year ago. I thought the place was well run but as I mentioned that was over a year ago. Has anyone left their dog there recently and were you satisfied with the place? And has anyone left their dog there for an extended length of time?

It's still as well run as ever but haven't left my mutt there for 5 - 6 weeks but would do if I have to.

Which one are you talking about? There are a couple. If it's the one at the North end of 3rd Rad, I would never use it again

I'm talking about the Dog Hotel north of Pattaya and out in the countryside. Run by K. Jaiaporn and his wife K. Jalat. Tel 086 140 7896.

K. Jalat will come in his lovely little yellow van to pick up your pet and return it to you.

I didn't realize Pattaya had these places. I am happy to hear about this. Would someone please supply more details about this such as the description of the 2 places, and the other phone number - Thanks

K. Jaiaporn's Dog Hotel is the one I know. Quarters are large enough with big runs. Can have airconditioned unit if you want. Everything clean. Dogs are allowed to socialize - mine wouldn't, maybe too young at the time. There is also place for cremating. K. Jaiaporn spoke about putting in a swim pool for the dogs but I don't know if he has.

I'm also familiar with this one. Basicly it's no more then a pet supply shop with a few cages in the back. Maybe ok for 1 night if your in a pinch.

Hey Span

Be careful and make sure that you see exactly where/ and conditions that the dog will be kept in.

The new animal hospital/vets on sukomvit just to the left of Tesco lotus do "Dog looking after service" (they might call it dog hotel but it is no hotel!!"

they basically keep the dogs as they would be kept if they were in teh vets for treatment. they do take good care, and walk them etc and they have AC in the kennel room which impressed me, but it stinks of dog wee and with all the distressed dogs howeling and barking i dont think its an enviroment that any dog should be subjected to unless it needs vets treatment. i have seen a few dogs in there being looked after for months! i felt so sorry for them, its a stressful place for a dog. the peope in this vets do like dogs though they are kinder than most vets, you can tell they actually do care, if your dog ever needs treatment I recommend them they are open 24 hrs, and i dont mean open but door locked and bloke asleep, i mean doors open and people working 24hrs.

same prices for thai and ferang. prices average, not too bad. The cheapest vets though is soi nern plubwan animal hospital, but its hard to get to and always busy, have to wait. but is a very good vets. they have their own Xray machines etc as do sukomvit road.

Thanks for the info. I'll be in Pattaya on Monday and I'll stop by and have a look.

I agree with Tammi for Dog Hotel Chaiporn Thongra Moo2 Takiantia Banglamung. Nice place.

Also have UK Kennels 15kms direction Sattahip, on the left.

In Pattaya? hospitals or shops saying Hotel? is not exactly "hotel for dogs". Only kennels, not space to walk and not good air. May be for a short time and a little dog.

Great place to leave your dog or cat, well looked after. Dog has a large cage concrete floor and covered kennel fed and walked daily cages very clean. I quite often leave my German Sheppard there for up to a week. Never had a problem. Fully recommend the place.
