New Passport - Non "o" Visa

Featured Replies

Dear all, Your help will be very much appreciated. I am married to a Thia wife and got a non "O" visa in September of last year, which expires now September this year. Well subsequently my passport has been stolen, I went to my embassy and got a temporally replacement passport valid for 1 year. But now I have no stamps or visa I have read in previous posts that I should go Suan Phlu (immigration bureau). My question is, will they give me another non "O" visa or what stamp / visa will they give me? :o

Have to say i think you will need to contact the embassy/consulate where you were issued with the Non Imm 'O' visa and tell them what has happened so they can either send you proof of visa, or contact BKK immigration to fax them the documents from your appiation so you can get it replaced, else i think you will find you will simply get 10 days from them and have to go and get a new one at KL or similar.

You will need a letter from your embassy stating that this is a replacement passport for one stolen. You should also have made a police report.

Go to immigration and they can transfer your latest permitted to remain stamp into your new passport.

As for your visa, I am not sure. I think you would need a new one.

Your current entry/extension of stay is all that Immigration is authorized to enter into your new passport. You will need to obtain a new visa if you are not currently on a one year extension of stay from Immigration.
