They all sound like beach resorts, beaches are always kinda romantic, but inland resorts can make one's heart soar also. My wife wanted to get away from the tropics and see snow for the first time so for our honeymoon we hit The Beau Rivage Palace in Swiss http://www.brp.ch/ & Le Fouquet's http://www.fouquets-barriere.com/ in Paris. Both of them no were near a ocean but extraordinarily romantic. The Palace is 150 years old done up in just absolute opulence. It sits on the lake, with beautiful views and hands down the best service I have ever seen in my entire life. I mean spot on Swiss, outstanding. The hotel historian even brought out the guest book for the past 100 years and showed us the King & Queen's signature from 1961 when then came to Lausanne for vacation! That part really touched both our hearts. The Fouquets is the opposite were the Palace is classic the Fouqets is modern and funky, style out the ying yang and total French indulgence, can you say on demand flat screen TV above the Jacuzzi? Hotness.
