Ive been interested in e-bikes for many years so would love to own an e-boxer, but if the local price is

anything like the American entrepeneur is asking, it would be out of the question.

Is there room in the garage for a 250 and an e-boxer?

Better start looking for a garage ... with a power point.

Ouch is quite the word for the price.

Yeah, pretty much any electric vehicle can wipe the floor with a petrol powered one....if you don't care about range. At 40-60 miles, I've only burned about 1/2 gallon of gas on a CBR 150R; this leaves me some 2 gallons to keep going. However, it is time for the world to be going toward electric powered vehicles with the energy being provided by renewable sources especially if their 1 cent per mile is correct--currently we're spending 3 times that on our CBRs.

In the first link it lists the power supply as 72 volts; that doesn't really tell how much power it has. Granted if they had included an Amp rating, or even a Watts it would have been much easier to visualise. The third link has it listed as delivering 14.2 kW...I'm assuming that's actual engine power. Still no idea on battery capacity.

The second link has this quote:

Annual maintenance for a gasoline bike probably runs in the neighborhood of $500 to $1000 a year, while an electric bike should cost half or even one-quarter of that amount, according to Kollin

Who pays that much for maintainence on a bike a year? Granted, I know that stuff costs more in the States, but I don't remember ever paying that much.

Oh, and the film was in Bang Na, behind Seacon Square in case anyone cares.
