I'm currently working here in Bangkok and I plan to bring my son over this year and let him study in a private school. My son is 6 years old and will start school this coming August. Is there a list or steps that I should take to get my son a visa? Does he need one? I'll be going home to the Philippines this June.

Although there is no overstay fine if a child were to overstay a visa.

You should be able to obtain paperwork for an education visa from the school and be able to keep your child fully legal.

thanks! i'm still trying to learn how to do this forum hence the delayed response. anyways, some of my friends suggested that i get supporting papers from the school and file it in the philippines (it's cheaper) so i can at least buy a 1-way ticket instead of a 2-way ticket for tourists.
