Hi everybody,

This question has probably been asked more than once.....however, I hope you could help me out with some specific questions. I’m going to apply for a work permit and I am not sure yet whether to hire a specialized firm to assist me or to give it a try myself. As far as I can asses, the company documentation is complete. Therefore the application shouldn’t be too much of a hassle when following the procedures. Anybody has recent experience with a WP application?

Your help is very much appreciated.

If you have complied with all the requirements and have all the paper work filled in correctly, why would you need an agent to do this for you.?...if you are being employed by a company, as opposed to getting a WP through your own company...they will sort this out for you and make sure everything is straight...

If doing it for a WP through your own company, might be wise to get someone in the know to cast an eye over your paper work..

Tnx. Well the matter is that they (the company) have never hired foreigners before so it's all new for them too! The motivation for hiring an agent is that they can advise me on type of work permit, 3 month or one year, if I have any choice in the first place.... and other practical issues. Just want to be sure the process happens smoothly.

Ok well in that case, I would say to you let your company do it through an agent if they have no experience to ensure the process goes smoothly as it may be a big learning curve for them and if they get something wrong you will get the brunt of any problems...
