Minivdo: An Australian Was Airlifted From The Similans After Collapsing On A Boat.

An Australian national, Gregory Edwin Orion, aged 51 years old, seen here returning by Navy helicopter to Phuket, was on a dive boat trip near the Similan Islands on Friday morning, when he went into shock and blacked out or fainted unconscious for 2-3 minutes, two times, possibly due to a heart problem. Bad weather prevented their boat returning to shore, so his friends including Ian Jones, a British teacher from Bangkok & first aid assistant on the dive trip, telephoned his insurance company, who contacted the Royal Thai Navy. The helicopter came to island no.4 & winched them from the beach, and flew back to the Phuket police station in 45 minutes. They were then taken by ambulance to Wachira Hospital from the police pad. Before they left, Ian explained more to us and thanked the Royal Thai Navy for their excellent help:
