Looking For "larb" In All The Wrong Places

Featured Replies

I love Pork Larb. Usually eat it daily. Looking for a nomination for best Larb in the city. Carrefour does a decent Larb but I've had better.

Secret lingo of board old-timers....Bert was right :D

/edit: as for larb: If you like larb Phet, go no further than the shop in the soi past Carrfour and then follow the yellow duck signs. Outstanding!

Definitely one of the best 'titles' for a thread... two thumbs up Loosescrew! :o

My favorite place is a little riverside restaurant in Phang Nga Town. I don't eat pork or any red meat, but I love a good larb gai once in a while and this place does a fantastic job of it.

I think that the origins of larb was the result of chicken that was too darn tough to bite off the bone. I've had some gai baan in Lao that certainly made me come to this conclusion. :D
