Alien Employment Act 2008

I've heard there is a new Alien Employment Act (2008) - not sure if it's still being drafted or is now in force. Anyone have any info on this? My undertsanding is that it will be quite broad and will involve hefty fee-hikes for annual Work Permits. Does anyone have a translation of this yet and/or know of major changes that affect us?

Sunbelt has posted on this and up until this time nothing seems to be confirmed as final - pending/maybe.

FWIW {not a lot } I've heard rumour of same, especially the fee/price hikes, from people who should be knowledgeable about the situation but have seen nothing formal nor any indication of gazetting.
