Briton arrested for buying sex from 11-year-old boy

PAYYAYA: -- A British tourist has been arrested for allegedly buying sex service from a 11-year-old boy, police said.

Police said Dee Christopher, 41, was arrested at his rented house in Chon Buri's Bang Lamung district at 7 pm Sunday.

Police found the boy with him. The boy told police that Christopher picked him up while he was walking in a soi and he was given Bt500 in exchange for the sex.

Police said he had already had sex with one of the boys while the seven others were waiting for him in the living room when police raided the house.

The eight boys told police that they were delivered to Terrance by Chalee Kengthanyakorn, 45 who works at a pub in Bangkok. They said Terrance gave Chalee Bt2,000 for each of them but Chalee deducted Bt1,000 each.

Terrance declined to talk to police, saying he would consult his lawyer first.

...... and what action will the police take against the procurer of these boys , it also seems strange as to how the boys know the surname and age of this man.

with this information the police should be able to locate him. perhaps the reporters at the nation could expand on this aspect of the case.

whilst the worldwide publicity that these cases always get is a good thing , it should also be publicised that there are many thais happy to profit by acting as suppliers for this horrible market.

the fact that the police have the suppliers name and age suggests that he was the informer in this case and is well known to the police.

the whole thing stinks.

I don't see how it's so strange that one of the boys knew the guy's name. At least one of the boys was 18, and could have known the man from before. (And know him well enough to trust to take to a location for 1000 baht)

Besides, this is what the story says, that the boys gave this info to the police.

You're trying to say that this guy was the informer so that he himself would be arrested and have his name printed in the national news? You're not making any sense here.

a gang of young lads , available for the kind of activities above , are hardly likely to know the mans surname and age , he will probably be known to them by his nickname , as is the case with most thais.

it is not inconcievable that he has been in league with the police , but has now for some reason incurred their displeasure and is himself in some trouble. it wouldnt be the first time such a thing has happened.

as for "that is what the story says" , well we all know not to take these reports at face value.

YET ANOTHER FOREIGN GAY ARRESTED IN PATTAYA WITH UNDERAGE BOYS

Pattaya tourist police seized a British man at a house in Pattaya and found 8 boys from Bangkok and Pattaya, procured by a Papasan of a Bangkok gay bar.

Police also found a hundred pictures of naked boys and sexual enhancing equipment, which they confiscated for evidence.

Pattaya - On May 18, 2008, at 7pm, Pol.Maj.Gen Panya Mamen, Deputy Superintendent of the Investigation Centre, Pol.Maj. Naradet Glomtuksing, Superintendent of the Tourist Department and Pol.Maj. Suwan Un-anan, Chief of Pattaya Tourist Police, led the police investigative team, holding both search and arrest warrants of Pattaya court, to investigate a house in Nong-plalai, Banglamung, after it had been detected that a foreigner had taken underage boys into the house for obscene purposes.

Arriving at a big house, on 1 Rai of land, police found a pickup truck, two motorbikes and a pink Bangkok taxi parked in the car park. The team also found Mr. Michael Terrence Burns, (58), British citizen, the owner of the house, sitting on a sofa, surrounded by 8 teenage boys. Two of them were 14-years-old, three of them were 17-years-old and another three were 19-years-old. Sitting beside them was Mr. Chalee Geng-thanyagit, (45), a gay bar Papasan from a bar located opposite Chulalongkorn Hospital in Bangkok. Police searched the room and found evidence of lubrication, sexual enhancement pills, condoms and a hundred pictures of nud_e boys. Police detained all of them for further investigation.

Mr. Chalee confessed that had been procuring teenage boys, some of whom were underage, for Mr. Burns on a regular basis.

All the boys detained had been staying in the house for 5 days. Some of them were from Bangkok and others from Pattaya.

Each boy would get Bt1,000 each time. Mr. Burns was in the habit of having sex with at least three of them every day.

The boys were supplied on a weekly basis; after their week was up, they were replaced by a new set of boys.

Police charged Mr.Burns with taking boys under 15-years-of-age for obscene purposes and Mr. Chalee was charged with procuring for prostitution. Police have detained Burns and Chalee and the boys, all of whom will be handed over to Banglamung Police to be processed according to the law.

Couldn't we all 'advertise' these 'gentlemen' a little by sending the story incl. pictures to all our, in this case UK, friends (living in UK), by posting the story on some popular UK websites ... (if next case is a German again, a Frenchman, a ... of course to friends/websites from that country)?

This to make sure they will get a warm welcome should they ever set foot again in their country ...

Or if someone knows these predators to live on wellfare, unemployment benefits, ... to inform their authorities to show how well that money is spent ...

Press Conference Announces Arrest of Four Foreigners

On Monday afternoon a press conference was called at the Tourist Police headquarters on Pratumnak hill to announce the arrest of four foreign nationals in relation to activities involving underage Thai males.

The conference was chaired by Police Major General Panya who paraded the four foreigners, one male from Japan, two from the United Kingdom, and one from the United States, in front of the assembled media.

The General told the media that in the first case Tourist Police officers had obtained information that a British national, 58-year-old Michael Burns, had allegedly procured eight Thai males, three aged 19, three aged 17 and two aged 14, from a Bangkok bar owner and had them brought to his house in Nong Palai sub-district for the purposes of sexual activities.

When officers raided the house early on Saturday evening they found the eight teenagers as well as the Thai procurer and a lot of nud_e pictures of boys in the house. The entire group were taken into custody and brought to the Tourist Police station.

A second British national, Christopher Dee, aged 43, was arrested in a separate case.

Also arrested was a Michael Wiley, aged 30, from the United States, as well as a 73-year-old Japanese man.

In a press conference, all four were brought together and will face charges of interfering with males under the age of consent.
