In 6 weeks my Non O visa will have been used up. On my 3rd 90 days now.

Due to a mix up over airline ticket I do not currently have one.

I do not have any 30 day stamps in my p/port.

I am not married to a Thai.

Do not have money in a Thai bank account.

So, what are my options?

Am I correct in assuming I have to go back to the UK for another 1 year Non O ?

If not, where do I go for one and what documentation do I need?

Without an onward ticket back to the Uk can I easily get 3 * 30 day stamps ? (I am reluctant to buy a ticket at present unless I have to).

Anything else (legal) I can do that I have not thought about?

TIA

hi centric

ive never had a non o, but i would guess (only a guess) if you didnt want to return to uk, you could do the 3 x 30 as you say, if you go ban leam (cambodia) border you can purchase a 200 bhat onward ticket.

most tour shops will give better advice than me, but i think you should be ok and if so approx 2400 bhat trip at loads of shops (pattaya if here soi 13 sportsman is a good relible one)!

or maybe a tourist visa, some get a x2 again ask in store or someone may confirm on here for you (if you can) click link below and if its somthing you can do, its prob cheaper than returning to uk, and gives you a few more months in thailand!

Chris is right. There is no problem with doing 3 x 30 visa exempt entries following a non-o, at Ban Laem they will sell you a 'bus ticket' for onward travel for 200 baht, which is acceptable to immigration (probably because they own the 'bus company').

I am a bit confused as to how your non-o will expire after only 9 months. These are issued for 12 months, and can be stretched out to 15 by doing a border hop just before expiry, and getting a further 90 day stamp.

Check the expiry date on the visa in your passport.

Rightly or wrongly, I am of the understanding that the Non O is purely for 3 * 90 days and I am on my 3rd 90 day stint. So it is not so much the expiry but that I have used up my 3 * 90 days in early July.

I will look at getting an onward ticket to be able to do the 3* 30 days. That would get me into October. At that time the UK high season for air fares would be over and make it cheaper to get home, sort a new Non O and start again.

I will also look at the link posted above. At the option for a tourist visa too.

thanks to both of you for the help.

What does your non immigrant O visa say? Very few are ever issued for 3 entry (but could happen). Most are valid for one year from day of issue and marked for multi entry (M).

Yes your Non O VISA should be for as many entries as you want. Do a Visa Run just before it expires and you can stretch it out to 15 months.

That is assuming it says Number of Entries 'M'

Do the visa run at least one day before the "enter before" date on the VISA, not the entry stamp. Like the others said, I doubt very much that it is a triple entry visa, probably a Mutiple (M).

Royal Thai Consulate Hull

Catgory O

Good for Multiple journey(s) to Thailand Must be used before 24th Sept 2008

So I can re-enter before my present 90 days are up in July and get another 3 months???

(Where did I get the idea it was for 3 * 90 days only, I ask myself) :o

Thanks to all for the replies and the advice :D

I phoned a friend who got a Non O around the same time I did and he was also under the impression he could do 3 * 90 days. He remembers being told by the Consulate. Maybe that is where I got the idea from too. Possibly crossed wires with someone at the Consulate.

I am happy it has all been cleared up and I do not have to nip off back to the sunny UK too soon :o
