Driving While On The Mobile Ban In Effect

So I knew this was coming sooner or latter but I didn't know it was in effect already.

They must have had a pretty crappy PR campaign because I didn't know it was law/an offence yet. did anyone know out there?

While I'm on crappy PR campaigns you get a load out of the "Drive Fast, be careful" signs you see around town and or Patong. (the lack of proof reading cracks me up)

Maybe they have the same company do the PR for the Mobil hand-set ban awareness campaign.

and my final bit of silly musing from the Gazette article

“We also have 48 CCTV cameras set up around the island, which we will use to catch people. We will ‘capture’ the image of the driver using his phone [without a hands-free set] and send a copy of the photo and the fine to be paid to the registered address of the owner of the car,”

Isn't this the same police force that told us that photographic evidence was bunk RE: prosecuting the illegal dumping of construction debris and that they had to be "caught in the act"

about time i say. and to catch only 5, whilst it is certainly better than none at all, but i would say its a mere fraction of the real offenders. but its a start i guess.

ive always used hands free and find it much easier and relaxing.

Hi

Yes, have seen it a few times in news, just bought a bluetooth for my phone, works good, and small, called Jabra and only 1200B
