COMMITED FEMALE THIEF ARRESTED PREYING UPON PARTYGOERS IN TONY'S PUB, PATTAYA

Pattaya regular and volunteer police arrested a Bangkok woman, early this morning, May 23, 2008, in Tony's Pub, masquerading as a normal customer, but who was, in fact, a committed thief intent upon robbing partygoers at the popular entertainment venue.

The woman, Miss Achara Sarasaeng (35), from Soi Ladprow, Bangkapi, Bangkok, was arrested at 3am, May 23, by Pol.Lt.Col. Suwan Un-anan after a complaint from a theft victim. She had in her possession 2 ladies' shoulder bags containing Bt8,000, 3 mobile phones and some cosmetics, which rightfully belonged to the partygoers, Misses Kanjana Un-lueng (22), from Roi-et province and Teem Janhormpradit (33).

Miss Achara confessed that while customers were in the process of enjoying their dancing and sometimes leaving their property unattended on the tables, she would grab the neglected articles and run out of the pub.

She admitted that she had already done it on several occasions, but this time the victims noticed their belongings missing, chased her out of the pub and raised the alarm, notifying police. She was detained and later arrested with the evidence. She will be handed over to the local prosecutor for further processing.

Seems to me, from another thread about stolen handbags in a walking street disco, 8,000baht and 3 mobile phones must be the norm for thai girls to carry on their jaunts to WS discos!!!!!!!!!
