Optician In Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Hello all

I just moved to Chiang Mai and I need to get new contact lenses, as my pack of 12 monthly lenses is almost due. Where can I find a good optician that can check my sight and get me new lenses (I'd like the same ones exactly if possible) ? Do you have one you would recommend ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Gaelle, welcome to Chiang Mai.

Here's a link to a previous thread on opticians.

Here's a link to my recommendation.

Not sure if there is anything specific on contact lenses but I would think that Vision Center (18/2 Rajwithi Road, Muang Chiang Mai, tel 053 418336, 214916) would be able to help.

Hi, and I have a suggestion. If you have not had your eyes checked internally by a medical expert in the last two years, may I suggest an ophthalmologist? There are good eye surgeons at Ram I, and the ones at Maharaj/Sripat Special Clinic charge no more than 500 baht, including prescription (maybe a bit more for dilating your pupils). Most opticians (using American terminology here) only grind lenses, and most optometrists are not surgeons (MD, physicians). Your eyesight is worth a million baht.
