I haven't met a "normal" gal yet. I have met girls I liked. Mostly because I had an interest in them. Of course that was because they had a brain and I have two. I don't think that has much to do with nationality though.

I think some old duffers are completely unrealistic. I saw one guy 70+ making an embarrassing attempt to chat up an extremely beautiful promotion girl in a supermarket. She of course was trying to do her job which was to look pretty and smile. She looked about 19 years old. He was trying to get her phone number which she was trying to refuse while retaining the smile she was paid for. It took him a long time to get the message and leave her alone.

I doubt there are any girls working in supermarkets who want someone old enough to be their grandfather coming on to them in front of all their friends and colleagues while they're trying to do their job. There are agencies to go to that match "normal" Thai women with farangs so why not stick with them instead of embarrassing yourselves and the girls in supermarkets?

Why do I get the impression that so many people that are looking for a "normal" Thai girl, really mean that they want a bar girl they don't have to pay for ?

What they are hoping for is some sweet, innocent maiden to move in with them, do the cooking, cleaning and boom-singing all day/night long, without the hassles of paying bar-fines or having to ante up for her services (or having to compete with other farangs for those "services").

Not that everyone is like that.

It's not like they are all herded into a corral (or department store, or mall, or certain type of business), waiting for a shining farang knight to come rescue them.

It's not like you can come here and someone is going to say "Hey guys, all the nice girls will be on display for two nights only at the Food Court in Big C. Stocks are limited. Hurry and get them while they last."

And from stories I've seen on forums in the past, some guys search out these "normal" girls, and then treat them like BGs anyways. So the truth is, they aren't looking for "normal" or "nice" girls, they are just looking for freebies.

You don't seem to know about Thailand's house registration system. Every Thai is listed on a document called a Tambien Ban (probably misspelled). Even people that have lived and worked on the Eastern Seaboard for many years are usually still listed in home district. Unless they buy property, most never bother to move their name to new residence

Some professional people buy homes and live in the Pattaya area for work reasons.

Other people transfer they status to the home they rent in Pattaya.

Or the company that rents the accommodation for them.

These people become part of the population of pattaya, i think, could be wrong.

Yeah, you got it wrong. Unless they change their house registration, they are not considered residents. By the huge difference in the official population and the actual number of people living in the area, it is obvious that most do not. When I said they don’t “bother” it was not saying they were lazy, it was saying there is no benefit for them to do so.

Oh, and I probably deal with more professional Thais in a day then you do in an entire year. Keeping in mind that “professional” mean much more then doctors and nurses. Since the Pattaya area is smack in the middle of the Eastern Seaboard Industrial area, there are thousands of professional Thais living there.

As a man who is now over 50 who has visited and lived in Thailand over many years I feel qualiied to tell you that you have no idea what you are talking about, open your eyes and ears, the fat old old guys have always been the prefered choice of Bar ladies etc, just ask them.

Given the choiice of a fit 20 year old farang and a fat old farang these ladies will almost always pick the old guy every time.

Why?

Because they assume the fat old guy must have dough to get like that and he is going to be a lot less trouble than a 20 year old guy who hopefully will also be more generous than a 20 year old tourist who quite likely has very little of his holiday pay left to spend and who thinks he is entitled to 12 hours of passion rather than what the lady hope is a quickie from the old guy.

Certainly not saying its right o rthat t applies to everyone but for the majority thats the reality of the business they are in.

The thread isn't about "bar ladies etc" but about normal girls.

Whatever you ask "bar ladies etc" she'll give you answer you want to hear. Of course as you're over 50 she'll tell you how much she loves old men.
